I played a few hours of a gba rom harvest moon, spent it all picking weeds then looking up cheats so I could bone everyone, don't think it worked.

I played a decent amount. It was fun for a bit, I beat it once but never finished the newgame+ or whatever. 2D building was too shallow to come close to minecraft. Combat was pretty fun but it got tedious after a while. Harvest moon and stardew have some obvious parallels but I think they're a very different genre than terraria. Stardew does have combat but it's pretty gay, you kind just put up with it to get the rest of the game.
