2017-12-15 at 5:12 AM UTCPrior to 2001 No one ever was kicked off totse until around the late 90s. 2 people not only where kicked off.. it killed it for the dialup and the internet version apparently started around 1999 and fully transferred all totse files to the totse.com around 2000.
Mods were kicking people left and right after 9/11 but not because of "9/11" but because enigma was fed up .. probably because he had legal issues.
so it was in fact 9/11 -

Mods on Zoklet could give you infractions, and if you accumulated enough "points" that would lead to a temporary ban. But it was up to administrators to make it permanent or even to agree with the temporary one (infractions got automatically posted for all mods to see and Admins would revoke ones they disagreed with).Rust lies. 1. Mods couldn't ban on old Totse. You are just wrong. You had to tell Zok or Jeff. I have e-mails where I asked for bans for people flooding. I can post them if you want.
2. Pretty sure you weren't a mod on Totse. You were, and still are, just awful.
3. I wasn't anti free speech, in fact that's one of the reasons I left (disagreed with the it's-PI-if-the-person-changes-their-mind rule, and mod bias). I still have a thread in Mods&Admins from Zoklet saved where I undid warning 5.x56 (or whatever his name was) placed on someone because they made fun of him.

Wrong, Adolf. I modded Bitch & Moan on Totse. In fact, I was one the rare "hacker mods", which means a mod who modded himself, without any approval from the administration.

Only Jeff could remove me, and Jeff was an absent dictator. I was untouchable for quite awhile. I could have hard deleted every single forum, too, if I'd wanted to, but I only hard deleted the kidiots' Half Baked forum.

As a Totse administrator with full administrator powers, I could have removed all the mods, made new mods, hard deleted every single user account on the site. I could have hard deleted the entire cgi-bin folder and all the backups, thus eliminating Totse in its entirety. But you know, I'm not that unfair. I'm not that cruel and unprincipled. I play a straight game, and I always, always win.
Instead, I used my full administrator powers, along with some creative energy, to commandeer Jeff's actual main account. Then I impersonated Jeff for quite some time, giving shit to the dirty mods and fucked with their heads for quite some time. It was hilarious. They couldn't believe the things they were hearing. One mod called it, "The Red Scare". Hahaha, I laughed. I carefully brought things to such a boiling point that even the most dedicated mods were seriously considering a mutiny against Jeff. Just like in that old Bible story, where the army turns against itself in the night, destroying one another in the process. Classic shit right there, folks. Then, after I was done teaching some good and fine lessons, I returned Jeff's account to his control, self-destructed the other administrator account, but left myself as mod of the B&M forum. No one was any the wiser.
So, you see, you all like to harp about how powerless I am, and how I "can't do anything", but the facts speak otherwise. Against the likes of me, you don't stand a chance. I'm patient, relentless, ruthless, attentive, intuitive, and formidable. If you use the Totse name and try and piss on it, I WILL get to you - one way or another. Count on it. -
