This is true though. Just watch any of the commercials for psych meds. It will say "this is thought to work by blahblahblah"
Also look at all the lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies in which they get fined millions of dollars for the shit that their "medicine" does.
But that's only a drop in the bucket compared to the profits they make on those meds, so they just keep doing it. -

What else is it? In my experience, it's all about the meds. They let you talk to a therapist for extra cost but they usually insist on the meds. 2017-12-14 at 1:45 AM UTCLast time I saw a psychiatrist he ignored me for 5 minutes while finishing up 'texting' then asked me how I was to which I said horrible and he said ok let's go ahead and continue with *whatever med I was taking* and that was about it.
Yeah that's just as much on me for not speaking up like 'what the fuck?' but I didn't even want to be there in the first place so it was fine.
Kinda fucked up its costs $100 for him to do that though -

Psychiatrists usually phone it in and adhere to common beliefs from when their old ass went to med school.
I remember going to one as a 15 year old and he straight up asked me if I played sports and I was like naw, I suck. Then at the end of the same session the guy was like "you're a good kid, athletic, smart, you'll be fine"
And prescribed me them footballs 😎 -

but anyways, after seeing my parents spend thousdands and thousands of dollars and my dad end up telling me he should of done nothing because I'd still of probably turned out the same way, I agree, and I go my own way by talking to my swami and practiciing meditation and trying to better myself each and every day.
