I thought domestic abusers weren’t allowed to own guns.
But if you can get your hands on one, any of the latest striker-fired polymer “wonder nines” out there nowadays should do it. Your best bet is probably a Glock 19 or any of the Glock 19 wannabes such as HK VP9, S&W M&P 2.0C, SIG P320 Compact, CZ P10C, FN 509, etc.
You probably don’t want a 1911 for concealed carry unless it’s a “commander” sized model or smaller. And even those are pretty heavy compared to a polymer-framed pistol.

If you're talking about domestic battery charges, those were dismissed. I only have two misdemeanor convictions. I'm on deferred adjudication for a felony, but I still have the right to own a firearm, since it's not a conviction, and when I successfully complete the probation it'll be dropped.
