according to the media reports. the photos of the rifles show the bump-fire attachments as well.
they are impractical...theyre virtually impossible to aim or control, which is why no one attaches them to a 'serious' gun. the only ones who use them are noob/knobs for lack of knowledge and others who do it for shits-and-giggles when they feel like playing around and wasting ammo. it takes a degree of practice to be able to hold them in the proper manner to get the recoil synced with the finger-tension to keep a simulated full-auto shot pattern going...otherwise if the shooter doesnt hold everything properly it just sends off a couple of rounds before going semi-auto and everything has to be started over. -

I actually discussed in BI how a large caliber full-auto weapon into a thick crowd would produce a large number of deaths.
no, its not hard to make a gun into full-auto...what is hard is doing so effectively and reliably without fucking up the gun.
some guns are easier to turn into fully automatic than others. communist ones are the easiest that i know of. AR15s arent hard but if you do it they become 'annoying'...as in reliability, controllability, the barrel goes to shit after ONE magazine of 30 or 40 rounds, to say nothing of the mag emptying in...like...two seconds. the commie ones feel like they have a slower rate of fire making them more controllable...and i dont know why but the barrels dont seem to go to shit after a 30-round mag. while the AR15 will 'cook' rounds trying to go into the chamber i cant recall a 7.62x 39/54 doing it as quickly as an AR. there are other reasons...but basically ARs and AKs are shit to make into fully-automatic and the only reason to do so is for shits and giggles, not practical employment.
my bet is the firing stopped because the fucktard fried his shit and couldnt get it to shoot anymore.
its virtually impossible to differentiate between fully-automatic and bump-fire as they have virtually the same rate of fire.
the first video i heard i would have testified in court that it was a .308/.311 caliber due to the sound and 'speed'...as in rate of fire. ive heard subsequent videos that were nowhere near similar to that sound but now that the photos show .223, that caliber is obvious. -

well then ... the only thing sensible to do now is for someone else to go out and kill more than 60 people with household items and groceries to make a point that tighter gun rules wont be able to prevent mass massacre and gun is not the problem. -

something else i just noticed...those pics have bipods on the rifles. i cant tell about the one up his ass, as that part is hidden. (nice gardening gloves, faggot) the way bump-firing works is gun sorta-kinda 'bounces' back and forth on your finger and having the front constrained with a bipod (the whole point of a bipod is to add stability...while a bump-firing attachment does the exact opposite. as a matter of fact...bump-firing NEEDS instability) seems counterintuitive.
whenever i tried one of those dumbass attachments the only way i could get it to work properly...as in continuing to fire until the mag was empty...was by leaning into it and using my shoulder to 'push' it into my finger. a bipod would have made that impossible...and lying down made it even more impossible.
unless this faggot discovered a way of accomplishing it... -

I wouldn't be surprised if either him or the middle finger dude got shot. Fucking morons. -

i didnt look at the pictures until now, i think he had the bipods resting on the soft backrest of the couch,
kneeling on the couch perhaps or maybe with one knee on the couch. -

EDIT - looks like the girl in the jean shorts bent over on the left side of the video takes a shot to the middle of her lower back as well as the right back pocket"
"Girl at one minute mark with the black boots is sitting up. then the second mag comes in. When he pans back over she's limp and not moving anymore." -

2017-10-04 at 6:10 AM UTCyou'd be converting it to a carbine, then to a pistol, at which point it'd be useless for shooting at anything that's further than arm's reach

2017-10-04 at 6:18 AM UTCwhy not just use a pistol then? you're literally taking away every benefit that a rifle has over shorter weapons
if you're concerned about it being too long you could buy or convert to a carbine which is designed to have a shorter (though not ridiculously short) form at the cost of some range, but for 'riot control' you'd typically want a shotgun, ideally semi-automatic if you need to be 'controlling' a lot of people at once
