I use a Canadian IP, so I can tell you all Canadian cops are fully armed with guns and shotguns. The RCMP carry guns and also carry Winchester rifles. They also ride around on horses. -

The problem with American cops (from what I've heard) is that they're trained to treat everyone as if they're going to kill them until proven otherwise. That and the fact that they're basically above the law makes for a nasty combination and attracts the wrong kind of people to the job

I was leaving the grocery store the other day in the pouring rain and two cops were hassling some homeless fuck who wrapped himself in a trash bag and wedged himself between the wall and a trashcan.
me and one of the cops made eye contact and I nodded my head, then he turned back around to fuck with the bum. I was tying my bags to keep my shit from getting wet and every few seconds he'd look at me for longer than is socially appropriate. -

If intelligent people are hired, costly training is invested, and then the officer leaves for greener pastures before long. The dumb ones are too stupid to move up, and those are the ones they want to hire. It's all about the money. The practice has already been legally challenged in the court, and the judge ruled that since all applicants were subjected to the "Low-IQ-Policy", no discrimination had occurred. Every single officer on every single police force has a very low IQ, and intentionally so.
