grab bottled water, containers and put water in it, snacks and canned food or whatever wont spoil and move as much into the attict now. get ready to punch a fucking hole through your roof from inside the moment you hear water entering the house.. or you will probably die from carbon monoxide. that's why kids and parents should never explore water caves. -
2017-08-25 at 9:14 PM UTCNigga, it's just a hurricane, not that serious. But yeah, it's starting to rain and get pretty windy here. Went and got some more cigarettes while I still got the chance.

Smoke non stop in your attic.. maybe that will dissolve or dissipate all carbon monoxide molecules ?? -
2017-08-25 at 9:26 PM UTCToday I successfully flirted in Chinese. Going to be studying abroad soon. Anybody here have experience with applying for a foreign visa? I've never needed one because American but the Chinese visa seems way more complicated than need be. I'm not sure if I need to apply for an L or S2 visa, or if I'm going to need my school to help me/send anything if I go with S2. Would rather just apply for the L myself and get it out of the way, but I know they've been pretty anal about these things since the reclassification in 2015 or '16 I think it was.

Done. No attic, on upper floor though. Plenty of food. Power will probably go out any moment now. -

Do you have a phone or any charger of any sort? Put your phone in a plastic bag, take the battery out, and keep it close. You want to keep the battery out in case it gets wet. Your phone will be fine wet as long as there is no current running through it. This way when its over you can still call for help if you need to. Don't waste it taking videos of your neighbor's Chevy drifting merrily down the street. -

2017-08-25 at 9:42 PM UTCI remember when I lived in the tropics we'd get typhoons about once a year and the power would be off for long stretches of time. Longest I experienced was like 3 weeks but the worst in living memory was like 4 months, shit was bad, like half the structures on the island were leveled. Getting by without power was surprisingly not too bad, the tap water wasn't drinkable so we always had a supply anyway, stove still worked and everyone had a beach cooler to replace the fridge in a pinch. The worst part was during the typhoon itself, having to sit in a closet or bathroom for hours on end because the windows were liable to break and fling glass everywhere.

If it's brown, lie down.
If it's black, fight back.
If it's white, good night. -
