Damn. Yeah, everyone's talking about it like it's gonna be a big deal, and ol' Florida boy me is just like.. it's just a hurricane. Honestly, I don't even know what category it is, and I guess the buildings and infrastructure here aren't really built with hurricanes in mind. -
2017-08-25 at 12:02 AM UTCThe Origins of Homosexuality:
Gay people are gay because it's a built in mechanism by nature.
The reason people are homosexuals is because they have shitty awful genes, nature knows they shouldn't be passed along to future generations, so it's built in a sort of kill-switch so that when people are born with shitty ass genes they become gay, to diminish the chances of them reproducing and passing on their genetic problems.
And that's why we have gay people. -

It's a category 3. I'm not terribly concerned really. I'm like, 40mi off the coast. I think cat 3 is like 115mph, tops. I'd like to just stay but gf is going fucking mental and wants to leave.
Looks like we're going to a friend's house that's less than 15 minutes drive from us, like that's going to be the life saving distance. I just hope my books survive should there be extreme flooding. I really dont have fuckelse I care about besides my car. -

Pay attention to the scientist guys who monitor this shit... more people die in Cat3 than Cat4 winds. it has to do with Cat3 surging the water the best.. not to fast nor slow enough. Cat3 are often deadlier with less physical damage but more drownings and bring in tornados and lightening storms that follow. the worst of it isn't when the Storm eye hits the coast.. but the aftermath of humidity and electrical storms surging with buckets of fucking water raining down on your neighborhood or whatever region you fled to.. and this can go up as far as Austin or even Dallas area they're saying.
maybe into Oklahoma and beyond. stay away from forks and spoons while eating outside. and please do not.. repeate.. do not go play golf -

Thanks for the info, didn't know that about cat 3 and 4. Worst I've been through was a category 2 a decade ago.
I'm going to stay put, possibly go to uncles house with a generator in the morning.
Trying to leave now with this traffic It's going to take like 8 hours to get to austin and the heavy rains are set to start In the morning. Would rather not be on the road for that. -

I would bring some plywood reminents and nail them down in the attic (if there is one.. better if the attic floor has a unit built in) and bring something you can cut through the roof to make a hole to get out incase of flood waters. don't bring a gas powered chainsaw unless you know you're going to cut a few holes quickly. if you don't cut hole when the flood water hits the home, you could die from multiple sources of carbon monoxide I bet.
and bring lots of ensure and a water enhancement -
