Signing things is kinda hilarious

"Here, write your name in some illegible scrawl and that will make this document official". Like there's no general way to verify signatures, forgery is trivial, and most of the time they're not even considered (literally any scribbling on the signature field of a check will make it cashable). And we act like it really means something, you even have to sign some crap when using a credit card like that's how a credit card company is going to verify a transaction, not actuarial models or cryptographic verification.

None of my signatures or initials look the same. I've been called out on it when signing lengthy legal documents with multiple signatures or initials, but it always goes through. Now they do "electronic signatures" on a lot of things, so it doesn't even look remotely close to your actual signature.

he stole the prescription pad and made very accurate copies. It's not my kinda thing to do so I was impressed at how crafty he was. I kinda felt weird driving him to the cvs , but he pulled it off every time.

whats weird about it all was his big bro was actually a straight edger and a narc agent for APD. His dad was a drug rep for pfizer.. you know what they say like father like son. He had tons of shenanigans with drugs. Like I said he was a menace. He looked very straight laced and that was both an advantage and a disadvantage to his drug abuse.

I've thought about this before as well and (unfoundedly) worried about my own debit card not being accepted due to me scribbling on the pen+pad thing at gas stations. It's literally my initials followed by deliberate zig zags up and down. My signature is that there is no signature.

it wont happen. i literally NEVER, and have never, signed the digital signature pads. occasionally ill make some sort of ridiculous drawing...happy face...stick figure...etc.

for some purchases where the signature shows up on the actual receipt ill write notations, but no signature,...such as at lowes/homo-depot/ace-hardware id write what project the items were going to be used for to keep track of in my records. a few years ago homo-depot made some sort of signature identifying changes where if i exclusively wrote my personal 'code' for the project, which was capital-font letters with a few numbers, it wouldnt accept it unless i also added some scrible-ies along with it.

ive literally drawn penises and balls on signature pads (at lowes) and it was accepted.

No two snowflakes are the same. No two faces are the same. No two signatures are the same.

Hah, yeah, I had like a 50% attendance rate for a while in high school and forged hella signatures. I used to trace the signature in my mom's passport although I'm sure some random scribbles would have worked to.

in middle school i dug through my old papers until i found a field trip permission slip or some shit and kept it in my bag for times like that lol

sucks they take discipline more seriously in high school, otherwise i wouldve been king bullshitter for anything negative requiring a signature. lucked out on them not caring about signed report cards/progress reports, so i just trashed them and scrambled to get my grades up if the time for one came around and my dad wanted to know how i was doing in school
