30-30 isnt a military round and wont ever be, due to several constraints...one of which is the lack of magazine-fed rifles for it. its accurate enough for military uses...but no one is ever going to use it in competition.
30-06 used to be the US military main caliber until everything became bitch-mode and it was dropped from service. it was the ideal caliber...its recoil was about the top end of what an 'average' male could comfortably handle...and its effective range was further than most shooters could ever hope to achieve. in the proper rifle its as accurate as any similar caliber could be. anyone that says 7.62x51 is more accurate than 30-06 doesnt know what theyre talking about.
7.62x51 is also a good caliber, but only used in a limited capacity with shoulder-fired rifles. its the 'most powerful' general machine gun round (M240) the US uses but those dont really count as shoulder-fired. its very accurate and up until a few years ago was one of the most popular competition-level calibers. a lot of law-enforcement and military use this caliber in their precision marksmanship rifles. its effective range is better than most shooters can use it...but the majority of military personnel who are issued this caliber are able to wring every last yard out of its effective range.
5.56x45 is just a piece of shit for what the military uses it for. the caliber is designed to kill small furry animals...literally...and had to undergo extensive modifications from its original design to get it to be even marginally effective against humans. through the proper rifle the caliber is as accurate...or more so, than 7.62x51. through a regular-issued rifle with a 16" or shorter barrel the caliber isnt going to see its accuracy potential...although still better than any 7.62x39 round out of a kalashnikov. effective range is subjective, depending on what bullet is being used...but even a heavy-for-caliber military-legal bullet isnt going to compare to the effective (making a human not alive) range of a .30 caliber.
.300wmr and larger are more along the lines of precision marksmanship use in bolt-actions where range and accuracy are virtually irrelevant to the discussion. those calibers far and beyond exceed the range/accuracy potential of the above calibers. anyone that limp-wrists a blowback pistol isnt going to be given anything other than a general issue rifle...much less allowed anywhere near a precision rifle.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

from what I recall there were closer to 500 chicks assigned. the stated number of 15 chicks getting pregnant is very low. from what i recall that alleged number doesnt take into consideration the females assigned to the various deployed units, such as the airwing, staff, etc, who also found themselves magically pregnant every time a deployment was close at hand.
relating to 'a sailor who filmed...' i can attest that there were many, many sailors that filmed themselves having sex on that ship. the ones i know of used VHS recorders and playing the tapes on the various VCRs scattered about the ship was such a common occurrence that it wasnt considered unusual...with NCOs and Os watching the same videos as Es...and vice versa, altho the videos with O participants were slightly less open-audience.
