Meh, at least I’d get laid one last time. -

That only really proves that everyone is racist; that there's no point in fighting it because it's an intrinsic part of our being. People come together temporarily because the differences between them are less than the difference between them and their enemy.
The only thing that ever really brings people together is a common enemy. -

2017-07-26 at 5:47 AM UTCLanny, related to the subject, what's your impression of this train of thought? I hesitate to as due to how profoundly incompatible we are, but no one else is qualified. It's a truncated post I made in TRT 4 days ago, something that roughly sketched out during a 35 minute walk/jog, so of course the train of thought will be difficult to follow and I can't properly elucidate and expound upon it due a proper consideration and attempt being far off in the future, if it ever occurs at all. I'm well aware of the enormous amount of knowledge that would be required, skills developed, flaws/critiques to address, general work to be done etc.
Really, just humor the idea. Something as simple as starting with "It's interesting" or whatever would be fine.

2017-07-26 at 7:21 AM UTC"Suicide is simply the correction of an error." - Malice
One day it could be argued that the term sub-optimality would be preferable to "error". At the very least it makes it seem far colder, more detached, inhuman/robotic. Life/existence as a sub-optimal state (Of course the problem of identity would cause this to be technically incorrect, AFAIK). -

The last paragraph is literally incoherent, like it doesn't parse. You have this style of starting a sentence, putting a comma somewhere in the middle, and jumping into another while the prior one remains unfinished. Like when you translate german and end up with this big stack of clauses that gets resolved at the end and try to remember what the order was to make sense of it, but the resolution doesn't even come at the end. I'm not saying this to be shitty, I think you probably wrote that in a hurry, but you're going to have to work on unpacking it before I can even say what you're talking about.
From the preceding paragraphs it sounds like you want to compose some essay in support of antinatalism? I think you might be too taken up with cool sounding one liners to be honest. If your thesis is "we ought to end all sentient life", you can pile up argument for why life is terrible or how you have better access to the internal experience of people who report having subjective meaning in their lives than they themselves do but the very first hurdle you're going to have to cross is the is/ought gap which I've not seen you seriously address before now except to say it's unbridgeable which, uhh, seems like it's going to be an issue.
Not to say such an argument can't be made, just that you might want to think about what the foundational critical response is going to before you rack up a thousand citations of papers saying people are sad. -
2017-07-26 at 7:51 AM UTCYou know, I've honestly noticed that German seems to be far easier for me to pronounce than English. Like, literally, every significant common vocal deviation simply feels far more natural. I wonder if there's something about the nature of the German language that strongly promoted the rise of existentialism in the region...
I could move into Risir's large house and have him take me under his wing as an adoptive brother, part of the benefit for me being learning the language and meeting other groups of philosopher's similar in disposition.
Dude, I literally jotted down the various categories of the chain of thought I had during a 35 minute walk(/run) and I wasn't even thinking the entire time. It's completely unrefined.
And it goes far beyond quality of life, pleasure and suffering itself. Cool sounding one liners? That wasn't what my train of thought was like at all.
No, actually, the statement I made beforehand gave entirely the wrong impression. It wasn't merely difficult to follow, but practically impossible for almost anyone to naturally align their thoughts on the matter with mine and see what I what I was getting at.
Entirely my fault, my apologies. It would be impossible to adequately elucidate at the moment in anything close to a reasonable length of writing, particularly since I haven't even properly developed anything beyond the outline myself.
It was really incredibly stupid to expect anyone to be able to provide valuable commentary, or even ask them to do so. It makes absolutely no sense to any mind but by own at this moment.
I suppose that at best I could expound upon a single argument or thought experiment I consider suitable. Particularly pivotal and able to be fleshed out to an amateur level in a reasonable length.
