actually serious answer, seasonal depression is a real thing, though the root cause could be a lot of things like reduced sunlight/vitamin D, temperature change or a side effect of seasonal allergies

You're not truly depressed if you consider this shit.

Oh shit, that reminds me, I ran out of vitamin D supplements and totally forgot to pick up more

Suicide rates have been observed to be highest around early spring: http://uwf.edu/fbridges/PMS-June-2005-Part-2_0003.pdf

    Also summer just sucks.

Consider what? That it may be worse during one season or another?

    Yeah.

I'm not disagreeing just to disagree. I'm saying as a person who has suffered from depression, for a long time, it has nothing to do with seasons.

That's crazy. Everybody (including me until now) seems to believe that it peaks during the winter, especially around Christmas

Maybe yours doesn't. But I too have suffered from depression for almost ten years.

But I don't usually think seriously about...something...this much.

Well, to be fair, I get what your saying. You want a logical explanation.

    'Oh it's just seasonal'

I'm sure the climate plays a factor , but not in long-term clinical depression. Not that much.

it's been clinically observed and I think SAD is actually on the current DSM (for whatever that's worth). I wouldn't discount it just because it doesn' match the pattern you've experienced

I don't know for sure but I think SAD (seasonal affective disorder) is supposed to be people who only get depressed during a certain season
