Yeah I agree. All those fallout hacks like Fallout Miami have legal issues because the team announces it 2 years before it's finished and has 20 people in a discord all with their names in a credit introduction video because they want the internet fame associated with working on a project like that and then they act surprised when they get sued.
They even have their own developer of the month page where they blow smoke up each others asses, so stupid.

Like the Aliens SS13 server that has a closed source on github even though they don't have permission from the franchise to use any of that and they claim it's all their own work and you can be sued for stealing their code when they just stole the names and likeness of the Aliens franchise.
You can't just make a Mario game and say "THE CODE IS MINE I OWN THIS COPYRIGHT" lmao

oh man how ironichis is what does my head in, the way they handle things is a little asinine. They take a zero tolerance to "ERP" which means any sort of sexual / gender charged phrases tend to result in instant ban, no warning, and they act like they're on a high horse instead of just telling you not to do it again. I get they're trying to get rid of some of the toxic elements of SS13 culture but christ it is annoying
Examples of unnecessary bans due to this "zero tolerance" policy:
Banned for announcing "PP inspection day" during round of 10 CMOs being appointed
Patreon donor banned for saying "bartender is serving semen" when drink is described as tasting creamy & salty (cream + saline mix)
Banned for naming borg "not hitler" when joke names were being used
Banned for saying "penis" in OOC
Banned for saying "Coords on guys! Or I'll snap your genitals in half!"
Banned for joking "sex update?!!" in OOC
Banned for saying sec were abusing him
What irritates me is that none of these really warranted a permanent ban or were really indicative of malicious behaviour. A quiet word at best, if at all.
I'm not gonna shout up my ban for reading WGW (I was trying to get gibbed/carded) as it was dumb but seriously, a 2 week ban / hassle of going through lengthy appeal was not an appropriate response but I'll take it on the chin.
Also, their use of "voucher" requirements in bans is a bit asinine when they are basically the only populated SS14 server. It frustrates me that if I potentially fall foul of things again without malicious intent i'll be subject to this crap.
