Being classified as pretty disabled and on SSI probably helped Calgrant go through a lot faster than usual, possibly along with being accepted.
Sound familiar? I followed the same path you did because it worked for you and you're in the same area, increasing the chance that it would work for someone in my fucked up situation. You couldn't have known it would lead to this, but there don't tend to be that many universities in/near most regions.
You yourself told me I could do a lot better than community college if I tried.
I'm going to SFSU because I don't want to go to UC Berkeley, the people there tend to be retarded and annoying and I'd hate the atmosphere. There's also a tendency for the more intelligent people to be insufferably pedantic and have no humility, a strong sense of elitism.
You'd better hope I never come across you by chance. Well, I mean, enrollment is pretty large and we'd never take any of the same classes, so it may be unlikely to happen, but my memory is impeccable, and visual ability far higher than normal. Not that I'd actually do it, but I've had the urge to stab you do you having made better decisions in life, having far higher income, generally being better developed and having had far more life experience, having a passion, multiple superior personality traits that lead to success (conscientiousness, mainly, by a wide margin), superior ability to apply your mental/cognitive ability, better knowledge in some domains, verbal, and writing skills (Incredible lethargy and laziness is a major factor for the latter. Depression and hiki related.), and overall potentially superior intelligence when operating optimally/at peak.
Essentially it's out of a sense of childish resentment because I strongly prefer to feel superior to others at least in one critical domain. I should be better than everyone and no one who's superior should exist.
Well, not that I'd actually do anything. Mostly I've just repeated certain mantras at times about wanting to stab you or saying "I wish I could kill that Lan Rogers! I'd like to kill him!". Very unhealthy autistic behavior.

No shit? I'm going to be going to school with malice, that's a wierd kind of feel. But congrats dude, for what it's worth I think it's a really good decision. Have you picked a major?
Hmm, what's some hard won wisdom I can pass down...
The library's a good place to hang out except the week before finals, avoid it like the plague then. It's an open secret that the HSS building is going to fall down in the next earthquake.
The thai place in the basement of the student center is the best taste for price for on campus food, the cheap ass pizza at "the village shop" is the best calorie to price ratio but probably gives you cancer (it actually tastes good in a cancer-y kinda way).
Do the english comp classes first and second semester and take them seriously, they're bullshit but all the interesting courses have them as a prereq.
Oh, and since you're doing lower division stuff look up your registration time and register literally the minute it opens for you, it can make the difference between getting a class and not.
