the original reports were incorrect - it was believed that Fouad Shokr had left the building before it was destroyed but his body was found in the rubble afterwards.
Nasrallah made a speech at his funeral, promising a response that was detached from regular military operations

Iranian reports on this differ because the government has not made clear how it intends to move forward.
on one hand some are saying that it'll be treated less seriously than an Iranian official being killed.
others are saying that it will be treated more seriously because the attack was conducted on Iranian soil rather than in a third country, such as the murder of Soleimani or the embassy attack in Syria.
I'm inclined to believe the latter considering the red flag has been raised over Jamkaran for only the third time in recent memory - the first being Soleimani's murder, the second being the 'ISIS' bombing of his funeral celebration earlier this year. -
