Hell yeah, impressed. For something with so few ingredients, a perfect pie crust from scratch is an art; one I’ve avoided learning due to laziness & pre-made availability

The batter for the crust is the easiest part tbh. The most time consuming thing is the peaches.

It helps if you cook with LOVE, but sometimes also hate. This cobbler was made with both.

Full agree. Cooking good foodstuffs correctly must have some Chef emotion or expression as ingredient.

That’s probably why eating homemade gnocchi will always remind me of my Nona & ‘food’ from Outback Steakhouse evokes more of a hungover cocaine-fueled coworker fuckfest vibe.

What do for the peaches? I think I remember an ice bath to make de-skinning easier….

Goddammit you schizotypal Eeyore Boomer, of course you can still buy lard. Even in CA.
Quit bemoaning how ‘liberal kids these days’ ruin your comfortable mid-class life and be happy you were born in the easiest bestest time to be alive in human history. With any luck you might get to watch it all burn down, so quit yer whinging. Or fucking do literally ANYthing about it, other than relying on 14 year old edgelords on 4chan for your world news and personality. jesus H Christ I just wanna talk about delicious pies and pastries

Bro would you lick cajun seasoning off of an angry hillbilly if it meant he would spare your life?

Just to be clear, I will eat a bloomin onion covered in cocaine sweat.

I hand skin/slice the peaches. The recipe I have suggests to boil then ice bath the peaches to easily remove the skin, but I get real emotional over my cobbler and like to think about my Mom and my Nanny in the kitchen and how they did things so yeah.
