Recently I've been dreaming of being in a car wreck a few times a week. -

theyre imaginary situation that dont exist anywhere but in ones head.
same difference.
youre an idiot. only an idiot would be afraid of something that wasnt real. -
2017-06-18 at 5:13 AM UTCIf I have nightmares it's usually me doing something incredibly stupid, then waking up and thinking "thank God that was a dream"
I have dreams where I'm just sitting at some restaurant eating with friends or family and somebody comes in and starts shooting, but I usually either shoot them or get shot and just lay there with blood pouring out and feeling my life slowly drain but then I wake up
Wouldn't really call those nightmares though -

i havent had a dream since I was about 6 that i had recollection of after i woke up, that during the dream if i wanted to wake up, i couldnt.
youre pathetic if you cant control your own thoughts.
edit: speaking of dreams and controlling them; occasionally what ill do immediately before going to bed is either read about or look at pictures of a project im working on intently then the majority of the time if i have dreams that i remember that night they will have some degree of relation to whatever i did before bed.

i specifically recall dreams where i wreck a car, or miss work, or dont have a school paper, or something along those lines, and i think to myself that im glad this is only a dream. the other day i had a dream where i was working at burger king then after not even working a shift i decided not to call or show up ever again...something i would never do in real life...and i thought to myself that its perfectly fine since this is just a dream. -

2017-06-18 at 9:56 AM UTCWhen I was a kid the theme was usually dangerous animals, being hunted by some kind of surreal predator or bitten by a venomous animal. Kind of a funny evolutionary echo I think.

This is the general theme in so far as I tend to have nightmares these days. Often it's some situation where I make a mistake and someone dies as a consequence. Like a hit and run or something, and the dual experience of feeling really guilty and being concerned for personal safety/freedom/ability to participate in society. Waking up and realizing it's a dream is pretty wierd. -

Well right, and that's lucid dreaming, which most people can't (and never try) to do.
I just mean a regular dream that you can't control, the thrill is in believing that what is happening is totally real. -

2017-06-20 at 3:57 PM UTCAll my dreams are nightmares but I rarely remember them.
It is always the same theme, as well.
