No, we need to help the developing world to start actually getting developed, so they don't need/want to come. If I lived in a "developing" shithole country that I knew was never likely gonna develop in my lifetime, then I'd want to move to that awesome world I keep seeing in movies and television. I don't blame them, I blame the fucktatd politicians that facilitate it en masse.

Well we did a pretty good job with this great big land down under one time. Was very undeveloped just a couple of centuries or so ago. Looks pretty developed ok now mate
Now days tho we need to end tyranny and political corruption in the world. That's prolly gonna happen pretty soon tho anyway.
As for assuming these people don't want to live more modern like people in the West, I think you'll find that's mostly control freak leaders both religious and political that forcibly impose old world values on those populations. Which is evident by so many of them moving to the west at every opportunity.
Some people talk about Muslims imposing Sharia law in Western countries and is very much used as scare tactics and propaganda. Fact is the vast majority of Muslims came to the West to escape that bullshit way of life. If you talk to the majority of Muslims in the West the last thing they want is more Sharia law that they traveled so far to get away from.

you're wrong. like I said, if western 'values' and aspirations weren't imposed on them through soft power, it wouldn't be such an issue, let alone the wholesale destruction of many of their countries through war and economic pressure.
you can't keep solely blaming leaders and government for populations wanting different things. do you think the Nazis made all of Germany crazy for 10 years, then they went back to normal? this would imply the individual doesn't have any agency.

the majority of migrants from Muslim countries typically fall into two categories -
1. families of people who were made rich as a 'comprador class' by western powers, such as people who benefited from the US-imposed Shah in Iran before he was deposed, who resent Islam for their loss of prestige or
2. pure economic migrants.
