2024-05-04 at 11:52 PM UTCStart with conservation corps and work your way up to state FF and then apply for a city that pays well. like 6 figures.
Me personally would never do it. reason is that 6 figures is to pay for your future Fire Fighter Cancer 80 percent get at some point of their lives and only firefighters get. it's hazard pay.
be a Paramedic instead. they make like 10 fold what ambulance EMR/EMT make while still being apart of the fire fighter family -

Falling through a roof and burning near to death and then end up getting that 1 Cancer only Fire Fighters get before age 70 is not worth 120-200k a year.
not that I would know.
or that one chance you walked into a highrise that magically fell from a small fire. -

That wouldn't happen if you do the job right and safe -

2024-05-06 at 5:59 AM UTCCould you imagine if Scron was a firefighter on 9/11?

Bla bla bla propaganda. I watched a woman burn to death about 15 feet from her front door while the fire department lollygagged around to set up their hoses with zero sense of urgency
I posted pics on whatever totse-derivative was up in 2012 or so -

A woman burning to death doesn't change the water pressure clearance for a hydrant hose. Safety first. If we all stopped to save burning women then the hose would never get un coiled and no fires would ever be put out, might as well just not even bother showing up at that point
It's all about the hose and that's why people that park in front of hydrants are the worst because the hose needs like 30 feet of wiggle room or else it fucks up and will wreck the hydrant -

The point was they took their sweet time and made zero effort at expediency. They have no risk nowadays -

2024-05-06 at 3:18 PM UTCI'm gonna be a hip cool fire safety instructor that does a power point seminar called "Hose before Hoes" "whoa there! you can get her number in the burn ward now lets discuss the clearance rate and quick thread connector types found on your common pumper truck hoses folks"
Now folx I really want you to pay attention to that area around the hydrant. Look at how much room those hoses need to stretch out, like your uncle at thanksgiving after the fourth plate of stuffing [hold for laugh here] -

Idk I've never been drug tested in my life and I would refuse one unless they thought I was high at work and I could prove I wasnt
