2024-02-24 at 6:29 PM UTCIt rained for like two months straight, and yet they say we're in a drought. I'm not buying for one second

I like the term atmospheric river to describe what traditionally was called a rainy season.
Also EVERY place that experiences a major earthquake responds poorly, look at the third world it's just a lot easier to build a strip of huts than it is a high rise so it takes longer to return to normal. -

california is situated on one of the largest coastlines of any state in the united states. they have been offered repeatedly to build desalination plants that will fulfill exponentially exceeding ALL of their current and ALL future needs however they refuse to do so.

By manipulating, interfering with and controlling the water, they are able to control the people and make the obedient sheep jump through whatever hoops they want, all the while blaming a fake boogeyman and pumping out fear porn. This is what humanity has come to. Clown World. -

2024-02-25 at 1 AM UTCDesalination is expensive too, just in terms of power usage, it costs about $1 per m³ of water, and you need a lot of m³ of water to grow crops (most water is used in agriculture and for watering plants).
