so yesterday I went to get my new tacoma registered and the cock suckers had the audacity to tell me they wanted me to pay sales tax in $10,000.00 for my 2500.00 truck when every other tacoma I have registered was at a $6000.00 tax value,, so I was ready for the fuckin on a regular tacoma but not a $600.00 dolla tax bill, I lost my shit on them and they gave me the paper that said it was worth $10,000.00 to them,, it only cost 24500 new and this is a rust state so there is no way it would hold its value as every other tacoma from early 2000's is just about at the end of its life,, they say it falls into CLASSIC car range as its 24 years old..
KBB says its worth 3500 to 6500,, now I have to get it appraised at a dealership before getting it legal. anyways I didnt relax for many hrs after going to try to register it.
Jesus fuck...your dmv is filled with full fucking retards. Were they white or diversity hires. Every state I've lived in billed the value as what is on the bill of sale...which goes on the title. That is what they should have referenced, not some bullshit made-up number.
I had a similar issue with my truck where they were going to tax me at the rate of a commercial vehicle due to its size but if I brought a weigh-slip showing it was below the DOT rating for a large commercial truck they'd only tax me at its real weight.

they call it a sales and use tax so we cant sue them,, they said to me "we made sure to leave 0 loopholes in this tax because many before have tried to sue them for theft . so right now I'm reading about the sales and use tax and they say sales and use tax in the title of the artical but then only call it sales tax in description
