Qatar is publicly stating they've organised a ceasefire agreement that israel has agreed to but Hamas has not responded. They've previously stated they are no longer interested in temporary ceasefires that do not lead directly to recognition of Palestinian sovereignty.
as an aside, if Hamas releases hostages in exchange for prisoners taken by israel, israel just re-arrests them and more after the exchange.
if you still thinks in terms of "shame" and "pride" in military affairs then you need to stop indulging yourself in military affairs.
