Originally posted by ner vegas now Iran and Pakistan are exchanging bombings of 'terror groups' on each others' territory.
I looked into the history of Jaish al-Adl; they started out as a CIA-backed group but it seems at some point MOSSAD took over as their handlers. the two scenarios I can think of are either they had something to do with the Suleimani funeral bombings or israel and the US are mobilising their 'covert' assets to open another front against the 'resistance' and Iran is attempting to pre-empt it.
after Iran bombed several of their camps, Pakistan bombed several Iran-aligned Balochistan separatists.
given diplomatic relations and the movement of ambassadors before the initial bombing it seems likely that Iran warned Pakistan of what they were going to do, but the Pakistani government couldn't accept it without losing face so they had to 'respond' without directly attacking Iran.
we'll see if that's true or not based on whether the issue escalates further.
So basically they pretend to hate each other while they scratch each others backs.
The whole thing about NGO "armed groups" having "camps" doesn't even make sense to me, I've never seen that IRL, need to try to some day. -

2024-01-18 at 3:27 PM UTCModern chips have GPS, Glonass, BeiDuo, and Galileo all built in. The reason is for speed of location acquisition, but I wonder what's the story with them if one of those systems goes out, or starts giving deliberately misleading data.

It happens all the time...russians have been jamming GPS since GPS was invented.
