The roles of the enslaved in mohammedian culture were different.
Slaves in the America's were used as breeding stock and there wasn't a single harem. Offspring of slaves were used as workers...and despite the social stigma some offspring of nigger slave/white master were adopted, taken care of, or even freed
Slaves in the ottoman empire (mohammedians) were rarely bred and used as military troops and to serve in the harems as workers...requiring their snipping. Offspring of female slaves were killed.
