If you're a guy Thirdtemple (is this a chios honey alt btw) start lifting weights and eating a bunch of protein, all of the fat will turn into muscle. I'm at the point now where I can leg press almost 3x my body weight, and it's only been 6 months.
when you're 19 that's fine. when you're late 50s and have the start of heart issues, thickening of the wall, cholesteral not in check, triglycerides clogging up arteries with plaque and so on. eating a bunch of fat is not the answer
I used to be really skinny and around 10th grade I started to drink protein powder, eat more lean meat and started benching, riding my bike like 30 miles every other day and I would do close to 80 pushups non stop and start off with clap pushups and or one handed switch off when I was around 16-17.
also note that working out most of your life doing power weights can put a massive strain on your heart. especially if you smoke cigars or weed a lot (or worse, cigs)
but just toning up with weights and cardio will most likely extend you life and keep you healthy. I used to power lift and then I stopped after getting married. would just workout occasionally and then stopped and got super fat in my late 30s. I hit 260 pounds at one time. got a photo of me BBQ in my back yard, never hit that weight again until just around covid shut in. I hit 250 pounds.
Im 228 now but im having a hard time getting that down. Just ate a plate of whole wheat pasta and plant based impossible ground "meat"
but I broke down and ate some cookies last night not sugar free and comatosed but first it kept me up til 2:30 then deep sleep.
shit is fucked up. dont eat a bunch of fat and work it into muscle. or don't do it anymore after you gained that muscle. stop eating high fat. but also there is a belief that you can do that once a week and eat a shitload of caloric based foods a few hours in a week straight then then shift back to healthy and go back and forth. allowing you to eat a donuts on a weekend night with shiploads of pizza or burgers etc.. like that special night of the week and then shift back to healthy and even as you eat high calories one night you shift mid week to fasting a bit and eat mostly veggies and lean meat between. -
2023-12-03 at 8:55 PM UTCAlso I can't do the intermediate fasting. fuck that shit. eat 6 hours then stop 18 hours.
it helps you lose weight fast but i had no energy and felt like sleeping all of the time. -
2023-12-03 at 10:55 PM UTCYeah man I used to weigh more too I was at 230 about 6 months ago, the lowest I've got is 180, I'm back at 188 now though. I caught myself slipping, I'm now losing weigh again. 3 days a week for breakfast I eat 1/4 ground beef, onion, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. The other days I have 2 eggs or a banana. Usually lunch a sandwhich or an apple and my dinners are whatever my grandma makes or whatever I make, usually meat and vegetables. I workout about 3-4 times a week right now and cycle through legs, chest, back, and arms, with abs exercises thrown in. I run a mile for my warmups as well.

Yeah 188 is what I want to hit. how tall are you again about 6 feet? thats a good weight for 6 feet depending on your body type
4 Types of body shape
1Ectomorph
2Mesomorph
3endomorph
4Combination of
I have the V or Ecto-Mesoomorph shape, Swimmers have Ectomorph I think and big wobbly bottoms have endomorph (kek Endo in the name)
To get a precise assessment of whether you're an ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph, or a combination type, you could go to a lab and have your body fat, bone, and muscle mass measured.
so Im a type 1 which is Meso and Ecto combo -

I'm 5 ft 11
Would knowing my body type actually do anything useful for me? -

so if you're exto I think it means you're a straight body type. a iron board or less curves but that is great for a swimmer. that is a swimmer body type (or idea)
they should weight closer to 175 or about 5-7% less. its why a weight doesn't equate to actual BMI stats -
