lol, if the asshole who counts every item at the bj's exit door is working I fold my receipt into a tiny wadded up mess and I tell him its cuz he acts like everyone is a pos thief . I also watch the people in front of me with full carts and if he doesnt count all there items but wants to count my 20 items I give him hell loud enough for all to hear
If they were serious, they would make headbands with revolving flashing green lights on them that you have to wear out of the store after purchase, which are returned to a drop bin in the parking lot.

i have all kinds of techniques...
i pretend im talking on my phone...i pretend im occupied by my phone screen...i pretend to be digging through a bag...i pretend i cant hear while adjusting my ear buds...or i just tell them im not stopping.
