thats what you get for voting in populists.
look, populists are popular, and thats their only platform. they dont have ideologies, political leanings, or even a clearly stated, well defined political goal.
i sincerely hope trump wins on the track record that hes the only US president that hasnt started any new war and then start sending "americans" to die for "america's" greatest ally after he won.
i pray to my various gods. -

duh. democracy isn't a specific type of government unless you want to go full mob rule though, it's used to describe a general type of governance where policy comes from popular (or representational) vote.

mythically.
i can not find a an example of modern instances where policies enacted/executed is the result of "popular" vote unless its some trivial matters with no real impact on the powers that be.
like choosing between bud lite and moor lite or whatever the other lite beer is called.
the critical flaw with "democracy" and voting is that its annonymous. this means even in the fairest election and voting of all you have a situation where people who decided and acted upon their decision will never be held accountable for their choices and decisions they made.
this makes popular choices a fad that comes and goes with time and season without any rational or logic behind it. therefore serious policies with real serious consequences can never, and will never be relegated to the whims and fancies of a bunch of people who are mere participants of a popularity contest.
democracy is the most powerful weasel word in the english dicktionary. -
