The big misinformation narrative that the jedis put out after they blew up the hospital parking lot about the explosion being due to a Palestinian rocket misfire has now been throughly debunked.
The attack was due to a Hermes 450 drone firing an airburst fragmentation warhead missile into the crowd. They use the Hermes 450 for "roof knocking" to give their victims 5 minutes to leave before they JDAM buildings (basically to give themselves plausible deniability when they kill a bunch of civilians).
The attack was likely authorised by Bibi himself. His nebbish social media jedi posted about it right after, then deleted the tweet/X. -

source? I've seen the theory that it was a drone-launched hellfire variant because an mk84 or similar would do a LOT more damage but not any hard evidence.

I've seen the footage from a few angles and it doesn't seem like a "misfire" at all, it looks like an explosion in the air
a misfire doesn't explain why it exploded in air, and saying it "malfunctioned mid-air before striking hospital"
I thought they meant it MIS fired like WOOPS it hit the hospital. How is this a misfire, the footage is odd and I haven't seen anything that really proves anything but your theory sounds the most on the money than any i've heard so far.

so they missed, then it malfunctioned, exploded, turned 180 degrees and landed in a hospital.
Actually that does kinda line up with the looney tunes rocket theory if you ruptured a tank under pressure it could spin out and land somewhere weird, but the payload seems way too big. Unless their idea of a "propane tank" was more like this
strap some fins on that yeah I could probably hit a hospital without aiming for it.

it doesn't really make sense that they'd use chemical weapons if they mean to actually recover hostages but this is interesting:US Delta Force will oversee “large quantities of nerve gas being pumped into Hamas tunnels, capable of paralyzing the bodily movement for a period of time between six and 12 hours."
this isn't referring to nerve agents; nerve agents interfere with your muscles' ability to contract and as a result stop you from being able to breathe. it's more likely talking about some kind of aerosolised sedative, maybe a fentanyl analogue like the SPETSNAZ used in the Moscow Theatre Siege -
