they know you hate them so you can't just make friends and let them set up camp next door, you can't let them be equals because they'll rapidly outbreed you and kick you out of your own house. now they've broken into your house and pissed all over your furniture and you know they'll do it again as soon as they get their electrolytes up
the palestinians were mostly pacified and ready to accept their fate from the result of the last yom kippur war because in some way it can be said israel "legitimately" won it. sure there are some armed disastifaction but that was only a minority of them.
what pushed the arabs off the egde is the unceasing expansion and illegal settlement thats been ongoing for the past 50 years or so. -

it can't and won't work; the state's policies have existed long before him and are an extension of the will of the people, not something imposed on them by a politician. his (Netenyahu's) political base are the settlers, the people who directly want to take Palestinian property, and they have made him the most powerful man in the country.
even if it were possible for someone to force israel to change tact and try to come to some political solution with Palestine, there's no way anyone seems to be able to think of that would allow israel to remain a J'ewish ethnostate.
this is why they keep digging further and further, arrogance and ethnocentrism aside I think a large swathe of them fear being holocoastered for real this time if the state (and the other states it controls) fails. -

lol. aldra actually believe "the will of the people" in democracies. like, no. its the "will of the people" only in so far as the government allows it.
like how many isreali jéws were in favor of MANDATORY "VACCINATION" ?
anyway have you forgotten the protests that ensued after yahoo decided to castrate the liberal courts in order to give himself more power ? those are the moderates. liberal jéws. those are the volks who are happy just living in israel proper without invading into palestinian territory.even if it were possible for someone to force israel to change tact and try to come to some political solution with Palestine, there's no way anyone seems to be able to think of that would allow israel to remain a J'ewish ethnostate.
israel has never been a real jéwish ethnostate. there are significant 2nd class arabs living and working in israel.this is why they keep digging further and further, arrogance and ethnocentrism aside I think a large swathe of them fear being holocoastered for real this time if the state (and the other states it controls) fails.
yea, thats the reality. like i said sometime earlier, the palestinians would have done the same thing to israel as isreal did to palestinians if they are in power. -

I'd think a lot, there certainly were here. we had Stasi tiplines for telling on your neighbours for having too many visitors and they got a lot of tips. 'urban' israelis chimped out hard on the Orthodox J'ews for refusing to follow the gay COVID rules.

protesting against a policy (specifically government overreach) doesn't mean they're opposed to the government in a general sense. Netenyahu overriding the courts threatened things that they thought were important (drugs and gay sex); when have they ever protested against settlement expansion?

i have class mates who ended up in arsetrailia and new zealand and i was kind of envy of them and then covid struck and i no longer envy anymore.

arent these courts the entity that defined isrealis expansion and settlement beyond their borders as "illegal settlement".not citizens, politically and culturally atomised.
atomized to the point they could be elected reps ? -
2023-10-23 at 3:25 PM UTCI'm pretty sure it refers to international law when people talk about illegal settlements, not israeli law

those are talking about specific settlements that weren't authorised by the government, and without checking I'd guess they're still there even though they were deemed 'illegal'Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party said it was “unfortunate” that the court had intervened on “an important law for settlement activity and its future” and that it would work to re-enact it.
