Iraq isn't well enough organised to put resources to this without anyone knowing. most people would say Iran but this seems more like the sort of thing KSA would do

HEZBULLAH HAS ENTERED THE LOBBY
they've been intensifying all day, no official word from Nasrallah though.
also reports that fighters are coming in from Jordan -
2023-10-08 at 10:18 AM UTCwhat prompted the initial artillery exchange was artillery fire from the Lebanese side blasting a long-range early warning radar station
this is the sort of thing you do if you're warming up the missiles. prepare for the draft -
2023-10-08 at 10:25 AM UTCat the moment -
the bulk of the fighting is going on on israeli-controlled territory
israel has so far only committed to small-scale ground operations, both sides are actively firing missiles/drones etc.
Hezbullah has engaged, but is only participating in small-scale border artillery duels
the IDF is probably waiting for Hamas to expend its 'fighting potential' before committing to a major ground operation in Gaza. -

2023-10-08 at 11:45 AM UTCModern rocket tactics aren't necessarily focused on directly inflicting casualties and more for zoning and strategic positioning. Specially simple artillery rockets like Qassam. They should be thought of similar to musket tactics in line warfare, terrain and cover to decide who gets the better zoned volleys are more important than sharpshooting.
In this case there are reports Hamas went straight to bomb shelters and slaughtered all the civvies sheltering within.
So straightforward, they used rocket attacks to get people to shelter and then went right for bomb shelters. Also Iron Dome does work but it can only stop so much, can be tied up and is fucking expensive as shit compared to the cost of Qassam. $60K interceptor vs $1000 zoomyboomy.
But it does work. -
2023-10-08 at 11:50 AM UTClol 60k interceptor though, you're missing a few zeroes

the interceptors were $150k ten years ago when they were literally lying about the costs being $50k and the flying dingleberries can be made for less than $200. and of that $200, $150 is the cost of the explosives. an empty propane tank (sans the valving) costs about 99 cents
PAC-3 PATRIOT missiles are like $4mil now, zero chance the J'ewish version is cheaper -

I'm noticing a lot of US M16 type rifles in these videos, more than AKs
there's a lot of talk of them buying up hardware that was given to the Ukraine and ended up on the black market, makes sense because a lot of that hardware was initially sold to North Africans by Ukrainian commanders -

Originally posted by infinityshock lovingly lanced lannys longing labia, letting her larp as a little laotian ladybody lapdancer............................ the two interceptors are vastly different. the 'expensive' portion is the seeker head/avionics/guidance
patriots are all-encompassing SAMs designed to kill pretty much anything in the air at any altitude at 'medium' range. the iron dome is designed to kill ghetto-fabulous attacks by 'terrorists'…as in shooting down flying clown cars or glorified lawn-darts…at relatively short range. the actual physical size of a patriot is about double that of an iron dome
also, the US taxpayer paid for almost the entire iron dome project.
wut, the Iron Dome was originally based on PATRIOTs with a software update, did they actually change it that much? -
2023-10-08 at 1:04 PM UTCoh wait that was ARROW, I assumed they were part of the same system
