Hey everyone, just thought I would share something that brought a smile to my face. Yesterday (Or perhaps earlier today) the Finnish flag was put up at the NATO headquarters and there was the gladhanding infront of the flags between the NATO head, the USA secretary of state/defense (can't remember) & the finnish something or other.
Anyway, cool part being it has now doubled the border shared by NATO & Russia, effectively ruining their entire gains of preventing Ukraine from joining NATO. Kinda cool, made me happy, not gonna lie, I love the idea of the former and probably future enemy of my nation being in a much more precarious position as we load the border of Finland to Russia with as many nuclear weapons as we have, probably build a few more bases, make sure Finland never gets Ukrained, Putin is probably even more upset so he's gonna act more irrationall , etc ,etc, etc.

Finland's been defacto in NATO forever, interoperable hardware and participation in their exercises etc., this really just formalises it
strategically the terrain is too fucked for large-scale ground forces and it's nowhere near as close to Russian major cities as the Ukrainian border, where the major concern was missile flight time being so short (Ukraine to Moscow) that detection and interception could be impossible regardless of systems used

various claims that over 100 missiles have been fired, mostly at settlements
not seeing any media that supports that volume though
the real number appears to have been 34, iron dome stopped around half.
israel's been bombing Gaza (?), reasoning appears to be that some of Hamas' leadership was at a summit in Lebanon and it was them who organised the attack, not Hez
israeli media says attacks on Lebanon are in the works, which will probably force Hez to get involved if they weren't already

also for what it's worth the debris I've seen appears to be rocket artillery, not TBMs or larger rockets/drones. I've only seen photos of 3 or 4 though so dunno how well that represents the attack
