There have been persistent rumours for the past week (ie: https://sonar21.com/is-ukraine-on-the-verge-of-launching-a-counter-offensive-at-bakhmut/) that the AFU is mounting a counteroffensive there, but a large part of their force has been locked down at Avdiivka and now Zelensky is demanding more money and weapons before launching a counterattack (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65075952).

china already won bigly when the "west" surrendered all their proceeds they gained from russian prestroika of the 90s when the west evacuated their coporate presence and market share at the onset of western sanctions.
and now theyre getting this big, muscular russian guy as their righthand henchman and with him all the middle east and africa (the civilized part) and latin america are going to fall in line.

I don't think China's got anything to offer the Ukraine. their statehood's already finished considering the millions that have fled with no intention of returning and the hundreds of thousands of war-dead, and even if it weren't their entire industrial base and economic output comes from the regions Russia has taken.
If Zelensky gives in and admits to the dire situation they're in and accepts that those territories are lost, he has a target painted on him by the US and his own 'nationalist' factions, as well as the local population coming to the realisation that all the death and destruction has been for nothing.
what's he going to do, flee to a ricefield in China? -

the soviet union experienced popukation decrease due ti restricted access to nutrition. but overall, the decrease in population helped russia to achieve nutrition equilibrium and increased their living standard vis-a-vis ukraine.
china managed to "lift" millions out of proverty due to a sharp decrease in population following the cultural revolution and one child policy. infact the only ireland managed to turn itself into a first world country from potato nigger country was thanks to the massive depopulation of the past 200 years.
