SpectraL, I think your issue is that you expect the community to stay the same as it originally was, and no community is like that. People come and go, and those that stay, usually change.

I remember when I posted on Totse, I was all about drugs. Zoklet for me was all about crime, and then transitioned into technology. It's likely the same with most people, and the community as a whole will evolve.

I think Lanny is doing fine except the lack of polls. We could be voting on quality-control right now.

He's actually been trying to convince people to post serious threads in topical forums, but it's like herding antisocial autistic cats. I think that it's reasonable for the only real rule to be 'no shitposting in the serious forums', but given that Lanny's the only moderator cleanup will be slow and you may need to bring it to his attention.

I think that's a fairly reasonable tradeoff for the lack of faggoty mod drama that plagued the last few sites.
