I finished listening to The Hobbit and am dismayed because there were no female characters, so I won’t read anything else by Tolkien. It also reminded me that J.K Rowling still goes by a male pen name and didn’t make Harry Potter female because male readers wouldn’t read her books but females still would, she could have made a book for girls but didn’t even though she was one so that’s sad. The male pen name especially grosses me out because men have often taken credit for women’s work. The good news is this has motivated me to write my own fantasy novel with a female main character which I’ve started working on. I already published a type of fantasy story with two girls as the main characters but this one will be better.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you’ve noticed I rarely edit my posts it’s because I don’t make mistakes when I type the first things that come to mind.

no I'm talking about when you write stories, do you make up an outline of the story and flesh it out, or do you just start at the beginning and make it up as you go along?
just curious because I've been doing a bit of writing off and on but never get very far with it

Sometimes I’ll be writing about something else and then a whole plot will just come to me, when I go into flow I make it all up as I go along. I don’t want to do that though because they turn out to be twisted. Sometimes I write things inspired by dreams I’ve had.
If you’re stuck you could take someone else’s story and write a sequel to it, or change it about so much it becomes unrecognisable. I feel like I copied Christopher Pike’s formula of having three main characters. The author of the Neuromancer trilogy said for him the plot was secondary. I feel like I have to choose between having my voice get across or having a plot.

So 2/3 professors have told me how I'mg onna pass college classes (for the record I did start with 4 classes, math I was dropped from, bringing me down to 3)
1 of the 3 is my second level humanity teacher, i've tried emailing him and messaging him through the website classroom app thing. No response. However, based on my calculation, even if I'm given 0s for all missed work/days/midterm, I can still manage to get a 66% given that the first 1/3 of the work i had 95%+ the middle third I missed lol and the last third is coming up which I likely will get a 95%
Anyway, the class is today, so i'm gonna dress sharp in the clothes I was recently givena nd got from the thrift store, and go in there and tell him about how I have a seizure disorder and do not want to repeat this class.
