also you and anyone else who think freespeeches will return once elom musk take over is purely and clinically retarded.
elon musk is a techie, hes just like a successful version of lanny and like lanny, as much as lanny is pro freespeeches he still have his own personal red lines which when crossed, will end up with perma bans.
just because elon took over twitter doesnt mean everybody will be allowed. freespeeches will be allowed as long as they please the new twitter boss.
thats how things will always be.

Case and Point
Hello everyone, I am noted billionaire spaceman-genius Elon Musk. I recently bought Twitter because I’m a free-speech absolutist, and now that I own Twitter I’m banning people who make fun of me because I’m an enigmatic man of mystery.
I also tweeted a picture of a Nazi soldier Monday morning. Hahahahahahaaaa! Isn’t that funny? I’m funny because I’m edgy and brilliant!
Not long after tweeting that Nazi soldier photo, I encouraged “independent-minded voters” to vote for Republicans in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
I am independent-minded, which is why I’m telling other independent-minded people to vote for the party that will tax me less, even though back in April I tweeted:
“For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally”
I am a disrupter! I am also quirky and good at business! Please emulate me and be independent-minded and do exactly as I say.
Shortly after closing on the Twitter deal, I tweeted that “comedy is now legal on Twitter,” and that was true, except for comedy that I, a free-speech absolutist and very funny human person, deem illegal.
I suspended Silverman (temporarily) and Griffin (still) for impersonating me, because I’m a big tough boy with thick skin who will not tolerate rule-breaking, unless it involves a political party populated with people who tacitly support the attack on the U.S. Capitol. (The insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021. was freedom of speech. Suggesting I eat doody for breakfast is not. If you were smart like me, you would understand that.)
Now please enjoy this glorious social media site while I lay off the entire team responsible for keeping Nazis off Twitter and brainstorm a very funny joke about farts.
remember – free speech costs $8 a month 😑 also corporations refusing to advertise on Twitter are destroying free speech 😑 All comedy is allowed, unless it's comedy at my expense. That is banned. 😑 Facts will no longer be tolerated on my social media site – only free speech, as defined by me. 😑 -
2022-11-08 at 12:56 PM UTCYeah it's called a private company, don't like their product don't buy it. What's the problem? How is this news?

Free speech applies to EVERYONE, but posting on an Internet forum means you are not only speaking on behalf of yourself, but also on behalf of whomever is providing you with the pulpit to speak from.
Thus, the one providing the pulpit has to make discretionary decisions.
Lanny did EXACTLY that, and he was not in the wrong with how he did it. -

2022-11-08 at 1:37 PM UTCNot quite. Social media corporations like Twitter voluntarily agreed to not act as a publisher, according to their immunity deal under Section 230. The problem is they've violated that deal. By steering content according to their own political bias, they are acting as a publisher. If they truly want to be "just a private company", then they need to stop shaping political opinion and be open to lawsuits like any other "private company".

Any idiot can sue any other idiot...as I just posted in another thread. Lawsuits doesn't really mean shit.
And a private company can shape political opinion however it likes, it's their 1st amendment right to do so.
"Wanting to be a private company" isn't a choice, you either are a government entity or you are not..Twitter is not.
