    The Ukrainian people can do anything they want to invading forces or their supporting infrastructure without it being terrorism.

    So they are allowed to use terrorism against the invaders, but it's not terrorism because they were invaded?

    The word terrorism is so misused by the elite press people are confused as to what it actually is.

    They can't use terrorism. Terrorism is the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. When defending against an invading army or one which has committed an act of war violence against said force, it's logistic infrastructure, or even it's sovereign territory is not unlawful. Nor is it in pursuit of political aims against innocent civilians. The Ukrainian people are no more capable of committing acts of terrorism against Russia then the French or Russian resistance organizations were against NAZI Germany.

    Why can't they use terrorism? Terrorism is unlawful in some jurisdictions, but so are pretty much all the things you do in a war, like shooting soldiers. The various resistance organisations absolutely were terrorist organisations, explicitly so.
  9. The word has been devalued, it's too late to roll it back now. We'll need a new "shocking" word.

    I’ve realised I won’t react appropriately in terrorism situations because I brush it off as normal. Like the bomb going off in Paris I thought it must be normal there and I didn’t want to draw attention to myself by overreacting. People were screaming. I’ll see messed up things and think it must be okay or some reason for it, that there’s order.

    is it true they raised the corporate tax rate from 19% to 50% to cover military expenditure and energy price rises?

    Okay let me type this again real slow;

    "Terrorism is the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."

    There is nothing unlawful about using any means available to repel, cripple, hinder, or oppose a nation who's forces have invaded your sovereign homeland. Who's force have shelled key infrastructure located in civilian occupied zones.

    WTF batman? If you are the aggressor in a campaign of territorial conquest any thing those who you have transgressed upon does in opposition is not terrorism it is justified self defense.

    based on what law?

    if one country bans the use of weapons like depleted uranium or white phosphorous but another uses them, does that make the user a terrorist?

    is it based on 'international law'?

    if your state doesn't sign or ratify any agreements related to warfare or weaponry, are you immune to accusations of terrorism?

    it made more sense when the definition was non-state political violence, but it's been made entirely subjective in order to be used as a political weapon. it no longer means anything in a practical sense.
