If you really like the original works of Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings books, and the Silmarillion, you won't like Rings of Power. It's a radical departure from Tolkien's vision, the show runners can't write proper characters, and their Galadriel is insufferable. She is almost written like a Mary Sue and it detracts from the whole show. Did i mention a radical departure from the actual deep lore provided by Tolkien?
And hey if you want to immersive yourself in The 2nd Age and it's events, peoples, heroes and villains, The Silmarillion does an excellent job describing the rise of Sauron, the fall of Numenor and the matters concerning the forging of the rings of power.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Like i care whether you think i am a racist or not. But hey if you wanna waste your time, watching something that is only tangentially related to the source materials. Whatever you think you are watching it is far removed from the essence of the original works.
That said i like Ar-Pharazon and the way he is portrayed, i also like the dynamic between Isildur and his father. The hobbits are coming across as a bunch of fucking psychopaths especially the bitch that told her fellow halfling to take the wheels off one of the wagons. Elrond is ok, but like i was saying Galadriel is absolutely not like she is portrayed in all of Tolkiens's actual work. She may be a Noldor Elf. But the second age is thousands of years after the first age and the war of wrath, and galadriel didn't even participate in the first kinslaying after Feanor's oath in Valinor regarding the silmarils. So forgive me if i think the show is high budget fan fiction.
If they wanted to cast niggers by the way, the people of Eastern Middle Earth, those who will later become the Haradrim and such actually could be ok for those roles, it is said the lands of Rhun and Harad are a dessert after all.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -
