I don't think it's a matter of sovereignty. Germany steers the EU, not de jure but de facto. If Germany could convince France of doing so, the whole of Europe would be mobilized if they wanted to. Especially now that the UK is no longer in the EU. Also, Germany desperately wants to be seen as a peace maker because the kikes have beat them over the head with the lollercoast to the point that Germany has cucked itself. What's more, after the re-unification of East and West Germany and the collapse of the Soviet Union. BRD isn't as beholden to US/NATO as it was under partition.
The whole situation with Germany and Russian gas is because Germany wasn't listening to the US and doing what they wanted, i.e. excersizing sovereignty.
Should Germany use the blowing up of the pipeline as a casus belli, they would definitely kick off WWIII, what they should do is demand compensation, set a time limit, and demand the perpetrators be brought to Germany to stand trial. If they wanna be diplomatic they issue an ultimatum but don't say what will happen if the demands are not met. Give it a good amount of time so they can prepare for whatever is next and so that their enemies are in the dark for longer and have to expend energy thinking of contingencies. -

Germany(And by extension EU) alliance with Russia is the way. Ditch NATO form ETO, incorporate Russia into ETO. Partition Poland, Partition Ukraine. As a sorry for what NATO has been doing the last 30 years and live in peace and harmony. -
