Someone has been sabotaging the Nordstream pipelines, which carry Russian gas to Europe. My money is on salty balts.
You can't protect thousand mile long pipelines or fibre optic lines from a determined attacker no matter what you do. -

Looks like either Danes, Germans or Poles did it. Will be difficult to figure out who, I'm guessing all you need is a strong boat, a long rope and a good heavy anchor. Once you turn AIS off no one can track you. -

Apparently explosions were registered on seismic detectors when the pipeline was hit, so it must have been someone who had access to military kit (I assume a simple rupture wouldn't cause an seismic event).
It'll take all winter to fix this shit, and they'll have to pump out the salt water and fix the corrosion of a big portion of the pipes. It's a huge deal. -
