    I consider those to be more like role models than a true mom or mother, but I was speaking biologically. Calling, say, a high-quality step-mom (or other non-biological mother figure) your 'mom' is just a sign of respect and reverence.
    
    Some people have multiple 'moms' but they don't call them 'mom'.
    
    Its important to have both female and male role models in your life so that you are exposed to the full spectrum of masculine and feminine traits.

    Hate to break it to you but your opinion besides not being worth a shit isn't the be all and end all either...MANY adopted kids consider their adoptive mom/mother to be their mom/mother...much moreso than their biological mother.

    That's fine. Its an issue of semantics. When I say mother, I mean biological mother. When others say mother, they mean something different. Its not really a problem like you're making it out to be. I accept that other people have different ideas in their heads.
