    I'm signing up for college so i can pretend to be more successful than I already am, found out i can get free tuition because i'm homeless and homeless referalls for my own place to live that hte state will help me pay for.

    My ex would use money her mum gave her for the train to uni to buy coke instead and she'd just hang out in the forest all day. She got kicked out of uni.

    Yeah I don't plan on doing this. Going for COmputer Information Sciences, the jobs start at about 40-68$ in September and October I'm taking a resume/interviewing class and starting a 12 week CompTIA course that promises job placement as a computer support specialist @ 20-something an hour.

    I'm finally gonna be successful objectively, instead of just in my mind. :)

    But folx don't forget where I started!!!

    I did a bunch of courses with them when I worked for Compaq. A+ certification Network+ certification etc etc. Compaq paid for it all...Absolutely worthless, didn't learn anything I didn't already know and they are not really viewed as "worthwhile" certifications in the real world.

    it's better than nothing, afaik the course isn't expensive and bradley doesn't really have any background in it

    Getting that few Gs 6 weeks into each semester is suuuuuure nice.


    Sure ill have to pay it back after i finish but at the current rate ill have my masters in roughly 6 years. Thats something 6 year from now RIPtotse will have to deal with. Plus ill have a masters and will be making decent money hopefully.

    Also its nice to have a girl around that works full time and pays the bills. Lemme tell yuh

    A master's does almost nothing nowadays. But the pursuit of knowledge is always admirable.

    You're better off at a coding bootcamp or some general assembly courses.

    assembly? good to know how things work but it's not really in demand at all, and for the sort of thing where it is necessary you'll also need advanced math skillz


    the market's flooded with rank and file indian coders; if you want to go anywhere you'll need to specialise and have a handle on the gay shit like SDLC, project planning etc
