and?...are you saying the Saudis don't have the $$ or ability to build more rigs or barrels if they decided to extract the oil?
The statement Macron made was pure bullshit...they have the reserves, they have the ability to build the necessary equipment, they have the authority to do so. -

2022-07-15 at 5:06 PM UTCAramco, the state-owned Saudi Arabian oil giant, claims it can sustainably pump 12 million barrels a day, well above the kingdom’s OPEC+ August target of 11 million barrels. For the global economy, Saudi spare capacity is the last line of defense against more energy inflation. But apart from a few top company executives and a handful of Saudi royals, no one knows for sure whether Aramco can deliver. The rest either have blind faith in Aramco — or simply don’t believe.
On Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron was caught at the Group of Seven summit relaying second-hand information to US President Joseph Biden that suggests the Saudis don’t have as much oil production capacity as they claim. Call it French secularism.

doesnt matter since none of those who owns it, be it the treasury or the people can withdraw any amount of gold from their own gold RESERVE.
just like saudi government can just withdraw oil from their oil reserve as they please. -

Yeah you've forgotten what I said...
The person/body who has the Authority to do so can remove gold if they so chose too..that would be the US government itself.
So if this is an analogy to Saudi pumping their own oil...it reinforces my point...that the person/body in authority..can withdrawn that gold/pump that oil.
Really Vincent...I expect better from you. -

so 12 million perday over the current 11 million barrels perday ?
so thats ONE extra million barrels of oil.
for perspective the US consumes about 20 million barrels of oil per day. yea, so another hour of oils for the fat ladeen "americans".
no school ? -

Are you under the impression Saudi is the only country in the world pumping oil?
You think the US 20 million barrels are all coming from Saudi?
Russia is the biggest exporter of oil and oil products to the EU, supplying 2.2 million barrels per day"
So yeah...the 1 million barrels a day extra the Saudi's plan to pump is near 50% of ALL the barrels exported to the EU per day by the Russians.
Stay in school kid... -
2022-07-15 at 5:23 PM UTCUS have the reserves and capacity to pump their OWN oil too...the problem is they wont.

which means europe is still 50% short of what they need and hence will continue to keep the price high.

...read my first line...
"Are you under the impression Saudi is the only country in the world pumping oil? "
A singular country, Saudi can fill near 50% of Europe's shortfall...I'm sure the other Oil pumping countries can make up the rest...the US sure could..and that would still only be 2 oil producing countries... -

majority of US oil reserves are in the form of shale oils, which are very messy and time consuming, energy intensive to extract.
worse is that it takes a lot of fresh water to extract, which as lake mead has indicated .... -
