This is horrible. Why would I want to kill some dumb Russian conscript? It's honestly more the idea of being asked to kill dumb Russian kids from a poor family that stops me from going to Ukraine to fight more than anything else. That's just horrible. Just because the Russians and the Hohols have some minor disagreement of opinion or because Putin went mad or because Nazis were bombing Donbass or some shit.
It's a bit like wading into a dispute between family members. Oh, your girlfriend and her sister are fighting? I'll wade right into that drama and bullshit. Next thing the sisters have made up and you're the asshole. Seen it happen.

It was back in England at that building I managed in Manchester...I was walking around the back to check things out and there was a dude beating on his girl, she was on her knees in front of him, I ran over and pushed him off her...he said "stay out of it it's none of your business"...I said "I'm making it my business" and started hitting him...the girl jumped up, jumped on my back and stared clawing at my face shouting "leave him alone!"

Imagine volunteering with a Ukrainian regiment that gets kesseled (casseroled, like the pot, surrounded) and surrenders. 18 months from now, all the Ukrainians are let free, but you aren't. You're a spy, a western provocateur, an American saboteur, a lousy war monger and a propagandist. You will disappear into the Russian prison system to spend your life with people who raped their 5 year old sister and who stabbed their 12 year old girlfriend to death. It will be the end for so many of these dumbass westerners who are volunteering to fight for Ukraine right now. And no one will speak up for them and no body will care.

If they're smart they will volunteer for rear echelon roles.
I did some reading and i don't know if this is 100% accurate but i heard when you sign up you get instant Ukrainian citizenship, and you will be under the command of the Ukranian regular army. That means if Russia treats you as a terrorist, they at least have no legal justification for it.
Not that i would care much if i were Putin, but hey.
