you will never convince a modern woman to come with you if she is anything worth her salt she knows she cannot abandone heer roots like that, her home. And she is right you should listen to grocery girl either you plant your roots with hers or she doesn't give a shit.

I don't understand the big deal like "oh they are fighting in the streets" but it's not like some Russian troops are going to kick down your door specifically and raid your fridge.
The biggest risk is probably artillery strikes but it's not like you can evacuate a densely populated area so I doubt they are going to lay waste and kill a bunch of civilians. They are going to target strategic locations like air fields and power plants.

She's in her mid 30s, her brother is in his mid 40s, and they're sitting at home in their mom's place on the umpteenth floor of a building on Drahomanova on the East bank of the Dniepr. I have never been there and never met her mom or her brother. I think she is scared I won't like them or something like that. Her mom is fat and cranky and has a million health complaints and her brother is unemployed and useless - typical hohol family.
All it takes for them to be shredded is some Ukrainian hero to take a pot shot at the Russian tanks from their building.
