the 10% success rate isn't necessarily just them not breaking, it's failure to ignite in general (even if it breaks it's likely to just peter out)
you can't throw them too hard or you risk the rag falling out or going out, you usually have to lob them, usually from buildings or an overpass (not in light cover woods like a retard)
after their questionable success in WWII tank and armor manufacturers moved and shielded the air intake to places that aren't easily reachable from above, so even if you are able to hit a tank or IFV with it it's just going to tickle
and IFVs (in this case, BMPs, Soviet version of the same class of vehicle) are designed to fight the exact kind of people who'd be throwing molotovs. their turrets are higher and much faster than that of a tank and they're (primarily) armed with heavy machineguns rather than cannons -

ANFO Isn't going to do much to a tank, or armored vehicle of the type aldra was describing. Unless you have an ungodly amount. But explosives of all sorts will destroy all sorts of things if you have an ungodly amount of them. A couple tons of Nitrocellulose would do the trick if you're going for the bigger is better option.
Best way to take out an armored vehicle is with munitions designed to either penetrate the armor, or cause spalding on the inside of the vehicle, the latter basically makes it so you get a shrapnel shower inside of the target.
Generally speaking tanks themselves have different kinds of ammunition too, high explosive rounds and armor penetrating rounds most commonly. -
