Article in the local paper today about a ptsd stricken vet mourning the loss of his mother who's otw to Warsaw this morning to go as far east as he can to fight. This while Canada is going to treat anyone who goes to fight on russias side the same way they treated ISIS volunteers.
The double standard is obvious but the humanitarian issues should be most important to people right now, not what side is going to win (obviously Russia it's just the social cost that's the problem) and the longer the seige continues the higher the humanitarian toll. The Ideology shouldn't be important to anyone who genuinely cares about preventing civilian casualties.
Canada is sending thousands of RPGs and grenades over now. Literally template shrapnel inducing weapons knowing the majority of the conflict will be in civilian areas. This is getting messier more quickly than I anticipated
