A can of spray carburetor cleaning fluid but only because Menard's didn't have any throttle body cleaner. Replacing the mass air flow sensor didn't clear my "check engine" light. I did some more youtube research and found recommendations to clean the throttle body if replacing the mass air flow sensor didn't work. So, I cleaned the throttle body yesterday. I also disconnected the battery to kill the trouble code hoping it won't come back. I drove the car around to several places after and the light is staying off so far. Got about $30 into the repair so far. Have to have it OK because I have to get it inspected and relicensed by the end of the month.
Actually, to be truthful, I went to a bar last night and the last thing I bought was a beer! -

Just got back from the garage and passed both my safety and emissions tests and can get my license plates renewed tomorrow. Running me about $200 all together.
$36...safety and emissions inspection
$25...new mass air flow sensor
$8....carb cleaner
$35...all 3 wiper blades needed replacing and are a favorite inspection "gotcha" (had one and not sure of price)
$90...two year license
