I went to look at this dumpy mess wedges between a motel and a trailer park.
The rent is $425 a month and I split the utilities with the people next door.
My overall opinion is that I could do way better but at the same time the inner shit bag in me likes the looks of it too.
The price is more than affordable but it also puts me 1/2 and hour from work.
The guy said I could have it if I wanted and he would call next week to give me a couple days to think on it.
I would need a fridge and stove.
Laundry mat is 1/2 mile away although I could probably fenagle a washer and dryer in there somehow.
I would need a window ac.
He said I could sign a lease if I wanted to but he really doesn't give a shit and I can stay 1 month or 100 months so long as I pay my rent and don't burn it down.

I have thinking to do and also I made an appointment to look at 3 more places for rent on Tuesday so this thread will be updated with more Fona Cribs Videos.

You're welcome that I am bringing back actually content to this website.

Depends what the landlord is like. The price is cheap, but if you clean the place up and he raises the rent you're fucked. If you want to move in you could ask for him to supply a fridge. Also there could be mold. Place needs a lot of work. Price seems reasonable enough though, and it could be made nice.

He should pay YOU to live there and clean the place up.
What's this shit about splitting the utilities? How the fuck does that work.

BTW what's wrong with living in a trailer park anyway? I thought they were normal enough housing in America? Just social stigma or something? Are they full of minorities now or something?

I've been waiting on better news to do an update but I didn't want to leave this thread sitting so long either.

I never got a call back from the apartment I applied for in the original post.
Nor did I bother to call and check on it as even though if I had been approved and called back I probably would have impulsively took it, but after more consideration I realized that is not the location I want to reside.

As for the 3 apartments I was suppose to look at Monday...
they don't accept my kitty and that is fucked up.
    I reported them to PETA.

Today I am going to go look at a place that if as described will fit all of my basic needs.
In fact I already applied and sent over all my proofs of this and that.
I'm going to see it today because I haven't seen any more than the pictures in the listing.
Early I drove past and it looked decent although I did see 2 homeless guys at the corner sleeping on a bag of cans.

Anyways, I hope to have good news for you all soon.

That sounds nice but what happens when your van breaks down?
What if it is something that will take some time to fix?
Am I suppose to sleep in the van at the mechanic shop?
And before you say just rent another car in the meantime I wonder if I am just to drive my car to my broke down van every night to sleep?
The lack of a shower puts too much emphasis in making sure I don't accidently crap my pants while living in a van.
Honestly I think it is pretty lame how jacked up rental prices have gotten.
I am paying way too much already.

have you considered buying a tent and sleeping outside your workplace?

I used to do this in an old industrial field next to a truck stop. It was actually pretty chill I could usually find a decent looking female to come keep me warm and snack on twinkies and slirpees with me and watch the sunset

the truck stop also had a showers and stuff it was pretty chill I got a rewards card and pretended like I was a good ol boy and then when I needed to sleep just go out back to muh tent.

Nobody ever messed with me, never saw a single person or cop or security. It's not that uncommon I knew a guy that slept in his truck out behind a fertilizer plant. If you can do that for a few months you can save enough money to get a good place.

Just don't start doing a bunch of drugs or you will be stuck out there and probably lose the job

I have heard it's some sort of landlord strike due to covid eviction moratoriums - they are leaving properties idle rather than risk bringing in deadbeat tenants. They also have lots of people taking up properties who aren't paying rents. I can't really speak to the accuracy of that though, I genuinely don't know. Prices will come down though.

There are "Late Rent Notices" on 2 of the doors in my apartment that I pass while getting to mine.
And I don't pass a lot of doors either.
Looking at requirements on rental postings I keep seeing things like 5 years of previous Landlord history.
I've only not been out on my own again for 2 years and I am too embarrassed to put down "lived with mommy".
