Then we can study as we go along, and do testing and background checks on every person that ends up using the weaponry to commit crimes, slowly learning who is the most susceptible for foul play and who are the responsible users. We can make pie charts and stuff.

I think they tried this simulation once. Back in the mid 1800s deep south or West Va mountain range

I think it's morally wrong to interfere with a persons liberty of owning a personal property no matter what it is. Just because your neighbor owns slaves does that give you a right to free them because you disagree with slavery?

I'm against the idea of things being "illegal" because it's just one person telling someone else "no" and usually there is a profit incentive to keep saying no, the person is getting paid by lobbyists. Is that capitalism? It's an exchange of money for goods and service (favor in policy) but that policy is enforced by a monopoly on violence, it's kinda fucked up if you think about it like that but nobody does so nobody cares.

They are problems nobody wants to fix because those problems keep food on peoples table. Manufactured problems, people put so much effort into stopping private citizens from doing things when most people can do drugs and own weapons with no problems, and they do. It's not hard to get "contraband" in fact people make a good living making sure people can get those things. Laws are just a waste of taxpayer money to make NIMBY moralists feel better about themselves that they are putting their tax dollars to work busting those criminals.

    The "gun show loophole"

This is what people obsessed with government regulation have created. There is no "gun show loophole" it's a fucking fantasy. IF YOU MAKE 10,000 LAWS ABOUT GUNS PEOPLE ARE GOING TO FIND A WAY TO SELL THOSE GUNS.

You CANNOT make a law that solves every problem in society. JUST BAN GUN SHOWS okay now you have back alley private gun shows BAN THOSE TOO GIVE THE POLICE MORE MONEY and something else comes up, now criminals run the gun industry BAN WEAPONS MANUFACTURING now criminals have factories making ak-47's and rocket launchers.

Most people don't own guns and don't want to. Kick open any door in the USA, how many of those houses are locked and loaded? 30%? 50%? 80%? it probably depends on the state but I guess not EVERY SINGLE PERSON owns a gun or even wants to.

So all you are doing by criminalizing legal ownership of anything is making that small % of people that do want to own a weapon go to gun shows to make their purchases. Of course that's also where criminals or a school shooter will go too because that's THE ONLY GOOD WAY TO GET A GUN you are FORCING the criminal and law abiding citizen to buy from the same dealer.

Just like when weed is illegal you have to interact with criminals. It's the same fucking thing, laws turn people into criminals and create crime out of thin air. Violence is not always illegal. It is a GOD GIVEN right to defend yourself and if anyone gets in your way they are the enemy.
