Like... I don't go out. I have no interest in leaving the house. Realistically speaking any vaccine used on me is a waste because I have 0 intention of ending my self isolation. My self isolation began before COVID was even a thing. There are very few people in the world as gleefully sedentary as I am. 99% of the country should be vax'd before me because most of them either actively want to go out for social reasons or need to for financial reasons. I'm not strongly opposed to it, but at the same time I have 0 need. There are plenty of people for whom it could be argued that not getting vaccinated is selfish. It's the opposite for me. Getting the jab would be selfish. -

Or...you could get vaccinated and maybe it would sort of compel you to feel the need to "use your vaccination" by way of getting out more. It could be good for you. Like if someone gave you $100,000 with the condition that you can only spend it on "outside activities" and you couldn't use any of it to order food, or products online, or things for your home. -

That's a nicer way of looking at it, I guess. Still seems kinda selfish though; using the vaccine as a sort of prop in a self-inflicted cognitive behavioral therapy regime for the purpose of self-improvement. The fact is even if I was willing to commit to that idea, I might "fail" and decide not to go out much at all. In fact, that's likely. There's no risk of vaccine going un- or underutilized for the majority of people, and they really should probably get it first. *shrug*
I haven't gotten direct sunlight or fresh air since like Christmas. And I'm genuinely happy with that. There are people ready to straight up kill themselves because they can't hug grandma. Let them be happy too. -
